Dr. Andria Amador is the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services in the Boston Public Schools. She has served many roles in her state association, MSPA, and her national association, NASP, where she currently serves as a Delegate Representative. She played an integral role in founding the Comprehensive Behavioral Health Model (CBHM) by leading the initiative and securing its first $200,000 grant.
Dr. Amador has been recognized nationally for her impact on student wellbeing, including the NASP Presidential Award (2021 and 2025), Education Week's 2023 Leaders to Learn From, and the 2022 Shattuck Public Service Award from the Boston Municipal Research Bureau. Under her leadership, Behavioral Health Services was first recognized through NASP's Excellence in School Psychological Services program in 2020 and received NASP Exemplary Recognition in 2025.
Before becoming Senior Director in 2016, she served as Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services (2007–2016) and as a school psychologist in Boston Public Schools (1998–2007). She is also adjunct faculty at Northeastern University, where she helps shape the next generation of school psychologists.
